Agios Prokopis Beach.

Location :
Agios Prokopis, 6 km from Naxos Town

There are many taverns and restaurants on the sand and others at the nearby area.

Lovely beach cafe and bars. Some even serve snacks and food. They have very good music and excellent sea view.
Sports :
Surfing, catamaran sailing and equipment rental on the beach.
General characteristics :
Perhaps the most famous beach of the island, due to its crystal clear water, the area beauty and the pebbles that do not stick on the body and make sun tanning easy and enjoyable.

Agios Prokopis Beach.

The road to Agios Prokopis runs through what used to be a salt-pan, in front of the airport.
It is the most popular and most beautiful beach of the island. It protects its visitors from the force of the wind.
So don't warry if the wind is lashing up the waves at Chora - it is certain to be calm at Agios Prokopis.

Agia Anna Beach :

The beach of Agia Anna is right after Agios Prokopis beach and only within a walking distance.

Location :
Agia Anna, 7 km from Naxos Town
Accommodation :
Many hotels, studios and apartments at the area.
Restaurants :
There are many taverns and restaurants on the sand and others at the nearby area.
Bar - cafe :
Lovely beach cafe and bars. Some even serve snacks and food. Most of them have very good music and excellent sea view. You can ask for a "tavli", that is backgammon, if you know how to play.
Sports :
Surfing, catamaran sailing and equipment rental on the beach.
General characteristics :
Noisy beach at some places and quiet at some others.

Plaka Beach :

Location :
Marangas and Plaka, 8 km from Naxos Town, through Agios Prokopis and Agia Anna.
Accommodation :
Many resorts, mostly studios and apartments at the area, literally on the sand.
Restaurants :
There are many excellent taverns and restaurants, most of them on the sand and others at the nearby area. They serve fresh fish and local meat.
Bar - cafe :
Newly built cafe places with an unforgettable sea view. You can also have a cafe at the taverns in the morning, it is equally nice.
Sports :
Surfing and equipment rental on the beach.
General characteristics :
All white sand that will make you believe that you are on a desert island. In some parts you can't even see the road

Plaka Beach.

The all white sand is its main characteristic. You can walk to Plaka from Agia Anna and enjoy the endless beach. You will find taverns, hotels and studios to stay and surfing equipment. If while swimming you see a donkey with 2 large baskets passing by, don't be nervous. The owner is selling melons, watermelons and other fruit. He also loves to tease women when they are nude and alone,  slightly of course!

Orkos Beach : 

Location :
Orkos, 18 km from Naxos Town, through Mikri Vigla. Asphalt road up to Mikri Vigla, sandy road after that, easily accessed by car or motorbike.
Accommodation :
There are hotels, studios and apartments at the area.
Restaurants :
There are few taverns in the area, but you can also eat at the nearby beaches.
Bar - cafe :
You can have a coffee at the terrace of any hotel and have a sea view at the same time. No bars at the area yet, Orkos is a relaxation place mostly.
Sports :
No surfing clubs in the area, however, some tourists choose Orkos as a starting point for surfing. No equipment rentals on the beach.
General characteristics :
Excellent beach with pebbles and cedar trees. Orkos consists of many smaller beaches that give you the impression that you have your own "private" beach.

If you wish to walk, you can get to the end of Plaka beach by car and then walk to Orkos on the sand. It is not far and you get to see the whole coastline.
